The Inter-House Council (IHC) is a group of students composed of a nine person Executive Committee, a representative from each House in the system, an RA representative, a commuter representative, and a Student Government representative. The group is connected to the Office of Student Housing and is overseen by the Director of Undergraduate Student Housing.

At weekly meetings, these students come together to discuss issues related directly to students who live in the housing system—more specifically, dining, housing, and transportation. The Council's roles include advising the housing system on potential improvements to be worked on and of problems that are occurring within the system and as a conduit for information from the Housing office back to the Houses. Students from the IHC sit on University committees due to their access to information about the desires of the undergraduate population living in the dorms.

The Inter-House Council general assembly meetings are at 7 pm in the South Lounge of the Reynolds Club on Tuesdays from 1st to 10th weeks. They are not open to the general public. Please contact the president if you wish to attend or have an item placed on the agenda. Notification by the Friday before is preferable, but the deadline is noon of the day prior to the meeting.
